Workshop week 2

During the second workshop some fighting broke out up north near Tripoli at the Nahr al-Bared refugee camp. From the windows at the training centre we could see helicopters arrive with wounded being met by ambulances. They were flying in and out constantly for most of the week. It seems to be Fatah fighting the Lebanese army and no-one is sure how it started or how long it may last.

The students are amazing though. They were all upset and worried but still very keen to get on with the workshop.

Wandering around Beirut away from the mostly rebuilt centre of town there are still a lot of buidling in ruins from the Civil War.
